Adams Precast Masonry Plant Student Tour

On November 14, 2014, several students from NCSU visited the Adams Precast Masonry Plant in Greensboro.  The presentation and tour covered the types of masonry units available and how they are manufactured, as well as how different aggregates produce different densities of concrete and how this affects the structural strength, moisture and fire resistance of CMU.  Several students were able to attend and had a fantastic time.  ASCE YMG would like to extend a huge thanks to David McQueen from Adams Plant for such a great hands on experience!
