The American Society of Civil Engineers represents more than 150,000 members of the civil engineering profession in 177 countries. Founded in 1852, ASCE is the nation’s oldest engineering society. Across the world, there are ten regions. The map below shows nine of the regions, with the tenth representing international members. North Carolina shares Region 4 with Arkansas, Tennessee, Kentucky, Indiana, West Virginia, Virginia, and South Carolina.
