We will be having a joint social with NC One Water at the outdoor ice-skating rink at Fenton in Cary, North Carolina, to collect toy donations and hang out. Food and ice-skating tickets will be provided.  The social will be from 1pm-3pm, with skating scheduled for 2pm.  This event will be rain or shine unless the vendor closes the rink due to severe weather.

What: Pick up trash while we walk along the ASCE YMG's adopted stream, Hare Snipe Creek, at the north side of Lake Lynn. Friends, family, and partners are all welcome to join as well - you do not need to be an ASCE member! All ages are welcome! This will be a joint event with NC One Water SYP.

Free breakfast and coffee will be provided before the cleanup!  Breakfast will start at 10:00am, and we will begin to pick up trash around 10:30am. Duration will be ~2.0 hours.

Please wear appropriate clothing for walking through wooded areas and getting into a stream area. Long pants and closed toe shoes are highly recommended. Please plan to bring sunscreen and/or bug spray. The City of Raleigh will provide plastic gloves and trash bags, if you would like any additional protective gear, please bring it! Participants will be required to read and sign a waiver from the City of Raleigh.

The ASCE YMG November social event will be held at the Carolina Hurricanes NHL hockey game vs. the Philadelphia Flyers on Tuesday, November 5th at 7pm.  We have reserved 20 tickets for group seating.  Tickets will be given out on a first come, first serve basis based on order of RSVP.  If additional tickets are needed, we will create a waitlist.

Tickets for students are $5.  Tickets for young professionals are $10.  Payment can be sent via Venmo to @snirala. Please send payment by October 27th!

Come join us for an evening of fun where you can go-kart, play laser tag, hit the arcade and more! Food and drinks are to be provided along with a complimentary go-karting ticket.

The ASCENC Eastern Branch YMG Group is having a volunteer event with the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina (1924 Capital Boulevard, Raleigh, NC 27604) on Saturday, August 17th, 2024 between 9 am to 12 pm. We still have 8 slots still open for our group (as of 3pm on 2024-08-13) to organize food and goods inside the warehouse, it will be first come first serve and if we fill up early then I will look to reserve more spots for us. After the volunteer shift we will be walking next door to Mordecai Beverage Company to enjoy a well earned drink and maybe some food. We have had really good success with this event in the past and it is a great way to socialize and help contribute to a great cause.

Friends, family, and partners are all welcome to join as well and there are no age restrictions, though everyone who volunteers will need to sign their own wavier.

We will be providing breakfast and coffee for all volunteers! We also provide all the equipment you need, including gloves, trash grabbers, and garbage bags. We will meet near the picnic shelter behind the Community Center building, not in the parking lot, to organize and get refreshments.

This is a great opportunity for younger members to shape the future of the YMG, expand their professional network, and grow their leadership skills. We are excited to announce the return of the annual YMG Cans For Brews Food Drive! Our goal with this initiative is to collect food for the Food Bank of Eastern and Central North Carolina during their donation "off-season" of the summer months. This year, we are trying to exceed our past record of 850lbs of food, and we'll need your help to do it!

We will be collecting food throughout the month of August until Thursday, August 30th, when we will be wrapping up with an event at 5:30pm at Trophy Brewing and Taproom (656 Maywood Ave, Raleigh, NC 27603). More information is in the pdf attached to the email! If you won't be able to join us there to drop off your collections, please get in touch with me (my info is included in the packet). If you think your company would be interested in working with us to donate food, please sign-up here. We can't wait to see all of the food the chapter will be able to collect this year!

Join YMG for our upcoming Habitat for Humanity Build Day in Southeast Raleigh on Saturday, August 4th.

A light breakfast will be available, and lunch with be provided for all volunteers. Feel free to invite coworkers, friends, and family.
