About the Speakers:

Joe Angell is a Professional Engineer with over 38 years (including 20+ years of active duty naval service) of hands-on and leadership experience in infrastructure and facilities management from budgeting and resourcing, through planning, design and construction, to operation, maintenance and demolition. Tested Business Developer able to establish Strategic Partnerships and strong proposals to win Federal and DOD contracts for design and design-build services through the implementation of a personally created process known as the 30-30-30. Construction, Facilities Management and Leadership experience in areas of Construction Management, Facilities Planning, Design & Acquisition, Business Development and Contract Management & Administration. A muscle car enthusiast, Joe recently got his first car, a 1971 Chevrolet SS-350 Camaro back on the road.


Sue Kranes joined the North Carolina Military Business Center in October 2008 to support NC Business as Federal and Military Construction Specialist. In this capacity, she helps existing businesses to identify, bid on and compete for architectural, engineering, construction, and maintenance contracts. Prior to joining the NCMBC, Ms. Kranes was Chief of Acquisitions with Naval Facilities Engineering Command Mid-Atlantic in Norfolk Virginia. She retired from the federal government with 30 years of civilian service, experience in purchasing and contracting with the Department of the Navy, Department of Army and Department of Energy as a Contracting Specialist. Ms Kranes is located centrally located in Greensboro North Carolina to provide support for business from all over the state of North Carolina.

Location:  We will be conducting this luncheon virtually in order to continue practicing social distancing guidelines as directed by North Carolina. Registration Fee: Please register online and provide a $10 registration fee.

To help Professional Engineers in attendance acquire 15 Professional Development Hour (PDH) units per license renewal period in accordance with 21 NCAC 56.1703, we will offer one PDH certificate after the presentation.
