Speaker: Dr. Reza Jafari

Topic:  How Well Civil Engineers Fit into Real Estate

Time: 12:00PM - 1:00PM

Summary: Dr. Reza Jafari, an investor and active Real Estate broker with a background in Civil Engineering, will discuss whether Real Estate is worth your time, whether Civil Engineers have a better chance of success in Real Estate, and who should get involved.

About the Speaker: Dr. Jafari received a PhD from NC State, a masters degree from Northeastern University, another masters and undergrad degrees from Sharif University in Iran, and a transportation planning diploma from MIT. Dr. Jafari is a registered Professional Engineer and holds a Professional Traffic Operations Engineer certificate. His professional experience includes over fifteen years in transportation engineering with NCDOT and private firms at WSP and RSTS on projects involving safety, planning, traffic, signal design, roadway improvements, and ITS. He has been published in numerous journals and conference papers, and has presented his research in over 20 States. He served in multiple FHWA, TRB, and ASCE research panels and committees. He is now a licensed Real Estate Broker working with MOSHAVER, LLC, providing investment and Real Estate services locally.

Location:  We will be conducting this luncheon virtually in order to continue practicing social distancing guidelines as directed by North Carolina. Instructions and a link to the virtual meeting (via Zoom) will been sent to the registered participants. If you do not receive the login information, please contact us. You will have the option to install software for a better viewing experience, but the video will otherwise play in a standard web browser. You will not need to create an account.

Registration Fee: Please register online and provide a $10 registration fee.

To help Professional Engineers in attendance acquire 15 Professional Development Hour (PDH) units per license renewal period in accordance with 21 NCAC 56.1703, we will offer one PDH certificate after the presentation and after you complete a short quiz about the presentation.
