Twice every year, ASCE cleans a section of Hare Snipe Creek in north Raleigh and these volunteer events are a great way to meet other ASCE members and make an impact on our community. Feel free to invite friends, family, and co-workers.
We will meet at the Lake Lynn Community Center at 7921 Ray Road, Raleigh, NC 27613, at 9:00am on June 9th, 2018, for our first spring cleanup this year. ASCE will provide a free lunch after the event.
We will be walking and cleaning a length of Hare Snipe Creek and two of its tributaries from Lake Lynn and Lower Springdale Estates Lake. All ages are welcome!
Please wear appropriate clothing for walking through wooded areas and getting into a stream area. Long pants and closed toe shoes are recommended. Please plan to bring sunscreen and/or bug spray. The City of Raleigh will provide plastic gloves and trash bags, if you would like any additional protective gear please bring it! You will need to sign a waiver from the City of Raleigh when you arrive at the event.
If you have any questions, please contact Brian Pownall.
