Our annual ASCE NC Legislative Reception is fast approaching! In an effort to encourage participation and provide talking points for positive interaction between engineering industry representatives and our NC General Assembly members, we are offering a unique opportunity to ASCE members and their employers to interact directly with their legislators and/or legislative staff.

In addition to encouraging anyone interested to attend this event, we are asking that our local engineering companies, municipalities, universities, and/or other government entities showcase projects that they have completed in the last 5 years in North Carolina. This opportunity is FREE OF CHARGE and includes complimentary hors d'oeuvres and beverages, however, you must bring the necessary presentation materials, including a large project board and some form of stand for it. If you have a table-top display, please let us know and we can arrange to have a table provided. There are no stipulations as to board size or format, and we also welcome displays featuring project awards issued by other professional organizations. We do ask that someone from your organization be prepared to stand by your project board for the duration of the event in order to talk to the legislators about the project. If you would like to only provide a project poster, but cannot stay for the reception, we may be able to accommodate that as well. Please note that groups may provide multiple posters if they have multiple projects that they would like to showcase.
 
We also encourage any ASCE members who are interested in volunteering to assist with the event (as greeter, "floating host," event planning, etc) to please let us know! We appreciate any assistance that can be provided.
