Summary: Representative Arp is with the North Carolina General Assembly representing Union County which is near Charlotte. Representative Arp earned a civil engineering degree from The Citadel. He also received his Master of Science from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Representative Arp is a small business owner and president of Arp Engineering in Monroe. Representative Arp is a licensed engineer in forty different states. He also serves on the Advisory Board for William States Lee College of Engineering. In 2014 Representative Arp was presented with the 2013 Legislator of the Year Award by the Professional Engineers of North Carolina. Representative Arp serves on six committees. He is the Vice Chair of the Energy and Public Utilities Committee.
