Duke will be holding this year's Carolina Conference, which is the yearly ASCE-sponsored event at which universities from North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia compete in various civil and environmental competitions.  If you are interested in visiting and observing the event(s), feel free to check out their website:

This year’s conference will have eleven competitions and they are seeking judges for the following eight competitions: Transportation, Environmental, Hydrology, Quiz Bowl, T-shirt, Freshmore, Surveying, and Structural.  Judges are responsible for enforcing the pre-established rules and maintaining the integrity of the event.  Each event takes roughly 1 to 3 hours to complete and only minimal preparation time is required.  If you are interested, please use the email address at the bottom of the page linked above.
