Each fall, the Younger Member Group elects new leaders for the new term, which begins in October. The YMG is now accepting nominations for 3 board positions: President-Elect, Treasurer, and Secretary. This is a great opportunity for younger members to shape the future of the YMG, expand their professional network, and grow their leadership skills. The board also includes committees that target specific needs of the chapter and its members (such as the Mentoring Program Committee). There are currently open leadership and member positions in the Social and Service Activities Committee, the Professional Development Events Committee, and the Fundraising and Outreach Committee. The YMG board is holding an informational meeting on September 21 in the evening in Raleigh (final location to be announced in the next week). If you are interested in a board or committee position, please make plans to attend that meeting (please let us know if you're not able to make that day but would like to be involved).
